*Today’s Communion Offering will support the ministry of Heart Havens. Please use your communion offering envelope or mark your gift for communion/Heart Havens. Heart Havens is always in need of supplies for their ministry. Throughout the month of February we will collect items for Heart Havens. Please see the February church newsletter for more information.
*The Chancel Choir and Worship Team would like to present the Living Last Supper as an evening worship service for our church and community on Maundy Thursday, April 6, provided we can secure enough men to play the necessary parts. Rehearsal is minimal and memorization of the brief monologue is not required. *The Worship Team will meet on Sunday, February 19 following worship in the Youth Room.
*Many thanks to everyone who has volunteered to bring meals for Pearl and Charles Clark while Pearl recovers from hip surgery. Pearl is now home, but we will continue to bring meals to them until further notice. Beth Gamble is working with the family to organizing a daily schedule for volunteers to deliver individually portioned/single serve and labeled meal items on the days they are needed. *On Saturday, March 4, 2023, the Amherst Women’s Club and Sweet Briar College are sponsoring Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma, a walk/run to help fight this often life-threatening inflammatory disease that impacts more than 300,000 people in the US, including our own Cat Brandell. The event will take place at the SBC Fitness and Athletic Center beginning at 9:00 a.m. If you would like to register to participate in this event, or donate to help the effort, please contact Margaret Ann White or Cat Brandell.
