Because of the generosity and faithful support of the congregation of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Amherst community churches, civic organizaitons, and dedicated individuals, Amherst Cares was able to provide 18,983 food bags to identified food-insecure Amherst County Public School students for the 2023-2024 school year. Since August, 2010 when it began, Amherst Cares has provided 200,250 weekly bags of food to identified students. As we begin our 15th year, please accept our sincere thank you for your financial support and continued dedicated service to this Mission of our Church. Your servant’s hearts, exemplified by packing bags of food and delivering them to the schools each week, serve as an example for our entire community. You are living examples of our motto, “We feed so that our students may succeed.”
