Hot Dog Day Free hot dogs on the fifth Saturday of months with five Saturdays, on Main Street in Amherst across from Hill Hardware.
Food Pantry A combined effort of several Amherst churches.
Holiday Food Boxes are distributed to members of the community for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Amherst Cares is a nonprofit organization based at Emmanuel U M C; it is a collaborative effort of schools, churches, and community to provide supplement food to food-insecure students in Amherst County Public Schools.
Meals on Wheels The Meals on Wheels team prepares meals for 25 clients and some homebound members of our church on the first Monday of every month.
The Prayer Shawl Group knits and crochets prayer shawls, lap robes, warm hats and other projects for a variety of causes.
