The online service for Sunday, October10 is posted at this link.
We are thankful to be able to resume indoor worship at our regular 10:30 a.m. time. After the State of Virginia lifted many of the COVID-19 restrictions at the end of May, the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church has continued to strongly recommend mask wearing for all persons over the age of 2, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, and maintaining some social distancing during indoor worship as best practices for Virginia congregations. Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 transmission and the escalating cases in our own area, our Church Council supports these Conference recommendations for our congregation. While these mitigation measures are not required at this time, they are strongly recommended for any indoor gatherings in the church building. Check-in tables will be located at each of the outdoor entrances to the Sanctuary, and we ask that you use these entrances to enter the building and complete the sign-in process upon arrival. Please be patient with this process as it may take time. It is helpful to reserve the parking spots in the upper lot for those with mobility issues to enable them to easily access the side ramp entrance. The online worship option will continue to be available. As a general rule, it will be posted later in the day on Sunday or on Monday morning. The Worship by Phone option will continue to be available, and the worship mailings for those who do not have internet access will continue to be sent out on Monday. We appreciate the patience of everyone as we move forward into our “new normal”. It is such a blessing to be together once again in our beautiful Sanctuary.
