We serve the Lord with love and praise.

Welcome to Emmanuel United Methodist Church!                Find us (directions).

Our mission:  By working together in God's name, we will take the gospel into the local community and beyond.

Worship with us Sunday morning at 10:30.    Come to Sunday School at 9:30 AM.

A nursery is available on Sundays 9:15 - 11:45.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of our neighbors who have been impacted by Sunday's storms. If anyone wishes to help provide assistance for Amherst County, the Amherst County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center is collecting paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates, plastic cups/forks/spoons, clorox wipes and gift cards (Walmart, Food Lion, Quick-e, Sheetz, etc.) for disaster relief at 328 Richmond Highway, Suite A, Amherst, Va 24521. Gleaning for the World Organization is also accepting donations:  7539 Stage Road, Concord, VA 24538; phone 434-993-3600; or online.

Elon Elementary School is serving as the command center for Amherst County. The emergency shelter set up at Monelison Middle School has been discontinued as it was no longer needed. Public Safety officials indicate that they do not need volunteers at the Amherst County command post at this time, but will be accepting supplies like water, snacks, and coffee after things have calmed down. Please avoid any unnecessary travel in the Elon area so that crews can continue their work.
