*“Sacred Soup” Advent Study ~ 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Mattie Ware Classroom on Wednesdays, December 5, 12, and 19. A light soup supper will be served as we reflect on Scripture and participate in prayer together as a way of finding focus and stillness before God during this busy season. Devotional materials with daily readings may be picked at church on Sunday, December 2 and are available at no cost. Everyone is welcome to come.

*Sunday, December 16

10:30 a.m. ~ Share the Warmth Service featuring our Children and Youth in worship, and a blessing of the handmade offerings from our prayer shawl ministry. We invite everyone to bring new hats, gloves and scarves for men, women or children for us to share with the needy families in our area.

5:30 p.m. Leave church for trip to the Bethlehem Village at Hebron Baptist Church in Afton. Please call the church by Friday, December 14 if you would like to come and need a ride. Everyone is welcome to “Come to Bethlehem and See!” Admission is free.

*Friday, December 21, 6:30 p.m. ~ Longest Night/“Blue Christmas” Service: A Gathering of Hope and Light: During the busyness and noise of the holiday season, many experience a disconnect with “seasonal merriment” because of recent losses, grief, illness, loneliness or changing family circumstances that make it more difficult to celebrate the season. Join us for a sacred time of quiet meditation, prayer, scripture and remembrance. Participants are invited to bring a photo or a special remembrance of a loved one to place on the memory table.

*Sunday, December 23, 10:30 a.m. ~ Our Chancel Choir presents our annual Christmas Cantata entitled Peace Has Come followed by a covered dish luncheon. Come and invite someone to join you!

*Monday, December 24, 5:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service ~ Join us as we gather for worship on this holy night. All are welcome.
